The idea for this project came about when Addie, one of Crouton’s friends from her doggie daycare, went missing in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Addie was missing for three full days, one of which was her first birthday! While it was the scariest time for Addie’s mom and her close friends, it was also an incredible time of support, community, and generosity. People from all over Seattle reached out to help look for Addie, hang posters, and take care of her mom. After Addie was found, it was time to give back, so Team Addie was created. Addie’s mom had been amusing herself by sewing bandanas for Addie and her friends, so while Addie was lost, all of her friends wore one specific rainbow bandana, kind of like the team uniform. When she was found, Addie’s mom got the idea to make more of these same bandanas to gift and sell to raise money to help other dogs in need. They raised over $250 to donate to Dog Gone Seattle!
Fast forward one year, and here we are celebrating community with these three gorgeous bandanas as we get ready to give back to local dogs in need by donating a portion of the proceeds to Dog Gone Seattle
